Introducing Elaiza Parumog, Employee of the Month

An inspiring and enjoyable work environment is directly tied to employee appreciation and recognition. Acknowledging and appreciating the efforts of employees and sharing their struggles helps to encourage energy and motivation.

We are thrilled to announce that this month’s employee feature is Elaiza Parumog, Media Analyst at Aarki. Her commitment and efforts are highly appreciated as an important contribution to our company.

“Elaiza is a valuable member of the Growth and Media team, always going above and beyond her responsibilities,” said Celina Mendoza, Sr. Manager - Growth Analytics in Manila. “She has been a key contributor in major projects related to media, marketing, and growth initiatives. She is a goal-driven individual - always striving to be the best at her role.”

Elaiza will soon celebrate her second year in Aarki. She joined the team full of positivity and enthusiasm. She not only succeeds in her responsibilities but is always open to new challenges that help her learn more and grow more. In this span of time, Elaiza went beyond expectations and impressed everyone with the results she has produced.

To uncover Elaiza’s contribution and learn more about her viewpoints and goals in life, we asked her several questions.

Q: What do you love most about the company culture at Aarki?
One thing I have always loved about Aarki is our freedom to experiment on how to accomplish tasks. Whenever we are given various tasks, we are not asked to do them in one fixed way. As long as the output is correct and what was expected, you can do it in any way you can. This motivates people to work smarter.

Q: If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
The one thing that interests me is being a successful twitch streamer for one day. Since my friends and I are always gaming, I think sharing the fun we have in games with others would be fun. But just for one day though, I don’t think I can handle doing it every day like professional streamers do.

Q: How do you champion a new idea or strategy in your workplace?
New ideas are very welcome in our team, so it isn’t hard to voice our own opinions and ideas. We simply have to prepare a reasonable justification as to why the idea will work better than the old way and present it to our managers. Whether they reject it or not, they will always tell us the reason and we learn a thing or two. It’s always a win-win situation.

Q: What is one food that you cannot resist?
There is quite a long list of food that I cannot resist but I would say Wagyu Beef is at the top. Genuine wagyu beef’s flavor is just explosive and the meat is so tender and juicy that it feels like it could just melt in your mouth.

Q: What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I spend a lot of time playing video games when I’m not working. My friends and I play a military simulation game called Arma 3 most of the time but we also play a lot of other games. Since most of my online gaming friends are Malay, I’ve also been studying their language for fun. Another thing that’s keeping me busy recently is learning cryptocurrency and stock market trading. My gaming friends and I were buying cryptocurrencies -  just for fun at first, but we’ve taken interest in studying it the past few weeks. Pre-pandemic, I loved to travel as well and explore different cultures and cuisines. Lastly, I like to keep fit by working out at home and sometimes in the gym.

Q: What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
I would invest in properties that I could rent out to create a stream of passive income.

We are excited to have Elaiza as a part of our team!
