We are excited to continue our insights series to acknowledge our employee’s contributions and learn more about their career and personal goals. Alec Pambid, Senior Data Analyst at Aarki, went above and beyond this past month, and we thank his enthusiasm, unceasing support and dedication to the company.

“Meeting timelines whilst ensuring quality of work has always been one of Alec's greatest qualities, said Deanne Gumatay, Analytics Manager at Aarki. “Thanks to his hard work, several accounts have shown exceptional growth, even within a short period. Alec has always been reliable, enthusiastic, and dedicated, which makes the flow of work more efficient. We are so glad and lucky to have him on our team."

Alec brings his best to work every single day. He is quick in identifying problems and solving them in a timely manner. He is always on the lookout for new opportunities within his role and puts these new learnings to use at every opportunity. This kind of thinking puts the team ahead of the game and lays a firm ground for continuous success.

To better get to know Alec’s personality and perspective, we asked him a few questions.

Q: What are the three things most important to you in a job?
The three most important things for me in a job are the company culture, variety, and the perks.

  • Company culture - having amicable workmates is a great boost to one's mental state, and contributes to a stress-free work environment.
  • Variety - this allows me to showcase my skills and knowledge through handling different reports, duties, clients, and tasks. Variety is challenging, but it really helps me grow.
  • Perks - we all want a well-paying job with good benefits. Perks make employees feel appreciated and valued.

Q: How would you describe your day job to a child?
Imagine having multiple puzzle pieces jumbled on the floor. My job is to group and put together those pieces, and to ensure that the final picture is clearly presented to the client.

Q: How did you become interested in the mobile industry?
It began when I realized how infinite data points interact in an amazing mathematical and statistical way to predict which ad will be shown to a user. This astounded me because I always thought that ads were just randomly sent to everyone.

“In any challenge we face, when we think we have hit a dead end, we must set our mind on figuring a way out.”

Q: What is your most overused app?
My most used app is Netflix because I like to binge-watch movies and TV series.

Q: What is your favorite holiday destination and why?
One of my most memorable destinations was in a beach resort in Bataan, Philippines. That was the first time I was able to bring my girlfriend to an out-of-town family outing.

Q: What is your favorite quote and why?
My favorite quote is “When you are backed against the wall, break the goddamn thing down,” by Harvey Specter (Suits TV Series).

I believe that in any challenge we face, when we think we have hit a dead end, we must set our mind on figuring a way out.

Alec joined Aarki over 3 years ago. His journey is a vivid example of how challenges can lead to new opportunities, contributing to the achievement of new goals. We are lucky to have Alec on our team.
