Q: What is your position in Aarki, and what does your role entail?

I am a Senior Account Executive, I support Aarki’s clients in Vietnam, and a few others from the SEA and ANZ region. I help publishers achieve their growth goals, build and nurture business relationships, and engage the publisher community in my region. From time to time, together with our partners, we organize events and webinars to be able to share insights about the industry and better understand the market.

Q: What is your current working environment?

I have been working remotely in a co-working space since I joined Aarki, as I am the only superstar of Aarki in Vietnam. But during the pandemic until now, I have been working from home. I have mixed feelings about working from home. I miss the office atmosphere, and the streets full of people on my way to the office. However, I feel that working from home leads to better work performance. I save time commuting every morning and can spend that time enjoying a cup of coffee, and planning my tasks. What I miss the most is in-person meetings with my clients, which I hope we will be able to resume in the very near future.

Q: What is the first thing that you do in the morning?

I have two dogs and a cat, so the first thing I do every morning is feed them. My cat often wakes me up by purring or sitting on top of me. I then check emails while I drink coffee or tea.

Q: Please describe your average day working at Aarki.

The first thing I do is to check my calendar for any meetings or calls that I have for the day. I then prepare and review all the information and documents that are needed for those meetings. Afterwards, I check the performance of my clients’ campaigns, so I can discuss with them the next steps on how to optimize their campaigns. I also work with new clients to engage and support them throughout the onboarding process with Aarki.

Towards the end of the day, I will spend 30 minutes reading industry news and market updates online, in magazines, and on LinkedIn. Finally, I'll review what I've done for the day and plan the next day or week. These might sound like basic tasks, but these deliverables allow me to provide the best support to our clients.

Q: What is the thing you love most about your job?

Supportive colleagues
Dynamic market
Challenges and knowledge gained

My colleagues are always friendly and sociable, and there are no words to describe how much I love them. We work independently, but we always support each other in work. I especially want to thank my line manager, Coral An. She is always there to support me when I need it and always gives me valuable advice.

"We are working in one of the most dynamic industry environments, and every day provides a new challenge that comes with a new opportunity."

Sales team in Aarki

Information, knowledge, and technological developments happen every single day, so we are always moving forward and adapting to achieve new goals. I feel grateful and honored to be working with amazing people in such a great industry.

Q: What do you do to unwind after a long day?

Gaming is the answer! I will usually play a few games when I need to relax, and my favorite is League of Legends. I've been playing LoL for over 9 years. A long time, right? I also enjoy listening to music and reading books. I really like Vietnamese folk music and books on physics.

Q: What do you look forward to everyday?

I love meeting and interacting with new people every day. Talking and listening to people share their insights and business objectives helps me learn a lot. I ask myself: What am I going to do today? Who will I meet today? What will I learn today? What will I contribute to my customers today?

The answers to these questions become my actions and plans.

Q: If you could describe Aarki in one word what would that be?

I would choose “diversity.” If someone asked me why Aarki is so successful, I would answer that Aarki is home to extremely talented people. But above all, we thrive through our diversity.

"At Aarki, we respect everyone and create opportunities for all, no matter where you come from, your background, color, ethnicity, religion, language..."

This is the foundation of our Aarki culture.
